2023 RUN OF TEN! ALL SOLD OUT! G’NITE G’BLESS I LOVE YA!
In 2014 I gleefully discovered the glitch potential of the Playstation 1 GPU. My life has never been the same since! For years I’ve used various modified PS1s for my personal art, all the while hoping to one day get a reliable means of replacing the CD drive with a ROM-based file playback system. Thanks to the many advancements made in the retro gaming DIY world that day has finally arrived and I am able to offer folks what they seek. I present to ya’ll the Paupstation 1 glitch PS1. The Paupstation boasts a number of improvements to the original Playstation hardware including a brand new modern power supply, a brand new short-run custom clear enclosure, an SD card reader (the mighty XStation hard modification), a 32gb SD card, region-free gameplay and a custom 3D printed SD card mount. Super deluxe!
The 18 knobs tap into vivid polygon warping layers of glitch control. I’ve wired into some of my favorite GPU crushing effects for you to explore and experiment with. It’s as though these things were made for it. The PS1 can function normally as well for those just looking to chill out and play some Jet Moto but for those looking to get deep in on the corrupted potential of a bygone relic…. this machine is for you.
While I’d like these to be more cost-effective for folks I really wanted to do the hardware justice and spare no expense or time in their construction and assembly. While I’ve gotten quicker with the execution of the XStation mod, it is still a time consuming little thing Thanks folks and enjoy!
